Official Information Act request relating to ten emails between Hon Grant 
Robertson and Rt Hon Trevor Mallard 
 
Thank  you  for  your  request  made  under  the  Official  Information  Act  1982  (the  Act), 
received on 16 April 2022. You requested: 
 
“ Dear Department of the Prime Minister and Cabinet, I am wanting the 10 emails 
between  Trevor  Mallard  and  Grant  Robertson  in  which  they  discuss  the  use  of 
the  sprinklers  on  parliament  grounds  to  deter  the  protesters  camping  there,  In 
perticular  I  want  the  responses  from  Grant  Robertson  finance  minister,  also 
anyone who was copied into the conversation, Replys to the said emails are also 
requested ” 
 
 
The Department of the Prime Minister and Cabinet does not hold information relating to 
your  request.  I  believe  that  such  information  is  held  by  Deputy  Prime  Minister,  Hon 
Grant  Robertson.  Accordingly,  I  have  decided  under  section  14(b)(i)  of  the  Act  to 
transfer your request to Deputy Prime Minister, Hon Grant Robertson. 
 
Hon  Grant  Robertson  has  the  usual  timeframes  under  the  Act  from  receipt  of  this 
transfer to make a decision on your request.
