Thank you for your request made under the Official Information Act 1982 (the Act),
received on 5 April 2022. You requested:

interference work” [1718NSP/046]
THREE: The March 2018 briefing titled “Update on policy approach to foreign

FIVE: The April 2019 briefing titled “Foreign interference in the media”
[1819NSPD/111]
SIX: The two August and September 2019 briefings both titled “Provision of
Classified Material to Elected Officials” [document IDs 4155797 and 4175735]
SEVEN: The November 2020 briefing titled “Ministers Requiring Access to
Classified Material” [document ID 4321072]”
I believe that the Cabinet paper,
Managing Foreign Interference Risks in New Zealand (bolded above) is more closely connected to the functions of the Minister for National
Security and Intelligence, the Rt Hon Jacinda Ardern. Accordingly, I have decided
under section 14(b)(ii) of the Act to transfer this part of your request to that Minister.
The remainder of your request has not been transferred, and the Department of the
Prime Minister and Cabinet will respond in due course.
The Rt Hon Jacinda Ardern has the usual timeframes under the Act from receipt of this
transfer to make a decision on your request.
Yours sincerely
Sarah Corbett
