Thank  you  for  your  Official  Information  Act  1982  (the  Act)  request  received  on  5  April  2022.  You 
requested: 
 
“ I would like to make a request for copies of the following documents: 
 
ONE: The December 2017 briefing titled “Foreign Interference 
 Brady Report and

TWO: The February 2018 briefing titled “Update on cross
agency foreign interference work”

THREE: The March 2018 briefing titled “Update on policy approach to foreign interference 
in New Zealand” [1718NSP/048] 
FOUR: The October 2018 Cabinet paper titled “Managing Foreign Interference Risks in 
New Zealand” [ERS
18SUB0022] 
FIVE: The April 2019 briefing titled “Foreign interference in the media” [1819NSPD/111] 
SIX: The two August and September 2019 briefings both titled “Provision of Classified 
Material to Elected Officials” [document IDs 4155797 and 4175735] 
SEVEN: The November 2020 briefing titled “Ministers Requiring Access to Classified

I have decided under section 15A of the Act to extend the time limits for deciding on your request by 
an additional 20 working days. Consequently, the extended due date for your response will be 3 June 
2022. 
 
The extension is required because of the consultations needed to make a decision on your request. 
Despite the extension, a response will be sent to you as soon as possible. 
 
You have the right to ask the Ombudsman to investigate and review my decision under section 
28(3) of the Act.
