Police driving (V001) 
All Police driving poses potential risk to public and Police safety and may be subject to 
considerable scrutiny. All employees must prioritise safety by driving with care and 
professionalism and in a manner appropriate to the situation. 
 
Police employees must comply with the provisions set out in the Fleeing driver policy, 
Urgent duty driving policy and the Professional Police Driver Programme (PPDP). These 
policies set out the responsibilities of employees engaged in these activities.
