Find below the information requested on 29 March 2022 regarding the pole installed outside 33-37 Sandringham Road in 
February 2022. 
 
Camera installations for enforcement purposes are positioned where activity may require remote enforcement.  Auckland 
Transport as part of its standard enforcement suite, operates both static enforcement and CCTV enforcement designed 
specifically for Special Vehicle Lanes. Whilst being the purpose of design and implementation for SVL enforcement, we are 
also able to pick up static “parking” offences and issue against the vehicle “if” and “when” required.  Footage can also be 
request by Police through enquiry. Auckland Transport can install static cameras at hotspots to generate increased 
compliance levels. 
 
Placement and operation of the cameras are at the determination of the Road Controlling Authority (Auckland Transport). 
 
Illegally parked vehicles can be infringed by manual capture (Parking Wardens), static cameras (Remote Enforcement), SVL 
(Special Vehicle Lance) CCTV enforcement (if required) and LPR cars. 
 
Your request for “documentation containing discussion around, and decision on, not informing or consulting with public” is 
declined under Section 17(e) of the Local Government Official Information and Meeting Act 1987 (LGOIMA) as the 
information does not exist. 
 
Should you believe that we have not dealt with your request appropriately, you are able to make a complaint to the Office 
of the Ombudsman in accordance with section 27(3) of the LGOIMA Act and seek an investigation and review regarding this 
matter.
