We sent you an email on the 5 April 2022 to advise that data on top baby names, by year, is
already available on the data.govt.nz website. We also explained that if there was a count of
less than 10 for the names that you had requested, then it will not appear in this data set.
You were advised to contact us if the information on the data.govt.nz website was not
sufficient, we have not received your reply.
In response to your request please refer to Appendix A, attached. Appendix A provides you with
a breakdown of the data you have requested. Please note that if there is a count of less than
five it will be displayed as <5.
As this information may be of interest to other members of the public, the Department has
decided to proactively release a copy of this response on the DIA website. All requestor data,
including your name and contact details, will be removed prior to release. The released
response will be made available here:
