On 19 March 2022, you submitted an official information request through the
FYI website to the Ministry of Social Development (the Ministry) requesting,
under the Official Information Act 1982, the following information:
• The annual salaries for said Public Servants; Chief Executive All Deputy
Chief Executives and, Median salary for Service Centre Managers.
You can find the annual salary of the Chief Executive publicly available at the
following link:
www.publicservice.govt.nz/our-work/workforce-data/senior-
leadership/senior-leader-remunerationpay/.
As such, the Chief Executives annual salary has been refused under section
18(d) of the Act, as this information is already publicly available.
The annual salaries of Deputy Chief Executives and Service Centre Managers
at the Ministry have been withheld under section 9(2)(a) of the Act, to protect
the privacy of natural persons. However, the Ministry can provide you with the
median annual salaries of Deputy Chief Executives.
