Official Information Act request for communications with Ella Yelich-O'Connor 
 
Thank you for your request made under the Official Information Act (the Act), received on 30 
December 2021. You requested: 
 
“ Please provide any communications over the last 3 months between El a Yelich-
O'Connor, also known as Lorde, and/or her representatives to DPMC and/or any 
ministers or their offices relating to Covid-19, MIQ, isolation or any other matters 
related to Lorde's ability to return to New Zealand.” 
 
I believe that the information you have requested is more closely connected with the functions 
of the Ministry of Business, Innovation & Employment (MBIE). Accordingly, I have decided 
under section 14(b)(i ) of the Act to transfer your request to the Ministry of Business, Innovation 
& Employment. 
 
MBIE has the usual timeframes under the Act from receipt of this transfer to make a decision 
on your request.
