I refer to your email dated 21 December 2021 requesting the following information under the Official 
Information Act from Canterbury DHB. Specifically:   
 
•  Given that it may be stored for two years was the Sabin oral polio vaccine used in Christchurch 
in 1964 sourced from Europe through USA, direct from USA or direct from Europe? 
 
The Canterbury DHB has searched its Pathology and Laboratories records, including the immunisation 
handbook and we can find no reference to the sourcing of the Sabin oral polio vaccine used in 
Christchurch in 1964.  We are therefore declining your request pursuant to section 18(g) of the Official 
Information Act i.e. we do not hold this information. 
 
We suggest you might like to contact the Ministry of Health.
