Rakaia Catchment Environmental Enhancement Society Funds (RCEEF) 
 
On 2 December 2021 we wrote to you informing you that we would be transferring your Local Government 
Official Information and Meeting Act (LGOIMA) request for the following information ‘Please provide me 
with the dates, dol ar amounts and number of donations received from the Rakaia Catchment Environmental 
Enhancement Fund and for each donation what the money was used for.’ 
Since this time, staff have located the following information: 
 
In January 2019 Project Partners Selwyn District Council, Ashburton District Council and Environment 
Canterbury and Landowners requested funding from the RCEEF to have an ecologist complete an ecological 
survey and written report on the Rakaia Gorge area with an emphasis on identifying weeds species that are 
impacting on the indigenous vegetation and their future management to control them. The RCEEF 
application was successful and Council received $7,000.
