On 20 December 2021, you emailed my office requesting, under the Official Information 
Act 1982 (the Act), the following information: 
Kris Faafoi does not appear on this list, were there perhaps substitutions made between 
the publishing of this list and the event itself? Please provide any documents relating to 
this.  
I am advised by the Ministry of Social Development (the Ministry) that they have not been 
able to find any documents in their records on substitutions made to the Youth Parliament 
attendees list.  
Upon inquiry with the Parliamentary Library, my Office was able to locate the 1994 Youth 
Parliament Hansard which lists Hon Kris Faafoi as the Youth Parliament Member for 
Sydenham. Consultation with my colleague Hon Kris Faafoi confirmed his attendance was 
due to a late substitution.  
I have attached the 1994 Youth Parliament Hansard for your information.
