Official  Information  Act  request  for  Cabinet  papers  relating  to  the  8  November 
announcements 
 
Thank  you  for  your  request  made  under  the  Official  Information  Act  1982  (the  Act), 
received on 9 November 2021. You requested: 
“Yesterday afternoon, the Prime Minister made a number of announcements 
related to Covid-19 based on decisions at a Cabinet meeting earlier in the day. 
Under the OIA, please provide me with copies of all Cabinet papers and other 
written material considered at that meeting relevant to the Covid 
announcements.” 
 
I  believe  that  the  information  you  have  requested  is  more  closely  connected  to  the 
functions  of  the  Minister  for  COVID-19  Response,  Hon  Chris  Hipkins.  Accordingly,  I 
have decided under section 14(b)(ii) of the Act to transfer your request to the Minister 
for COVID-19 Response, Hon Chris Hipkins. 
 
The  Minister  has  the  usual  timeframes  under  the  Act  from  receipt  of  this  transfer  to 
make a decision on your request.
