I refer to your request for official information of 9 November 2021.  
The University of Waikato (University) has given due consideration to your request as follows: 
“what  (if  any)  amount  of  money  the  University  chose  to  pay  to  external  counsel  at 
Tompkins Wake for legal fees associated with the High Court Proceeding.” 
The 2020/2021 legal costs incurred by the University as a result of the High Court proceedings 
you  brought  against  the  University  amounted  to  $62,338.96  (inclusive  of  GST  and 
disbursements).
