Information Request – CoDigital ICT report
I refer to your official information request dated 7 October 2021 asking for the following
information:
Would you please provide the CoDigital report, commissioned by FENZ in 2021 to review
the structure of the IT department at FENZ, in its entirety.
Your request has been assessed in accordance with the provisions of the Official Information Act
1982 (OIA).
We have interpreted your request to be for the
Stage 2 ICT Position Description RASCI Review –
Staff Interviews report, August 2021, prepared by CoDigital. There is no report “to review the
structure of the IT department”.
A decision has been made to release the report to you with some information redacted under the
following sections of the OIA:
• section 9(2)(j) – to enable Fire and Emergency New Zealand to carry on, without prejudice
or disadvantage, negotiations (including commercial and industrial negotiations);
• section 9(2)(k) – to prevent the disclosure or use of official information for improper gain
or improper advantage.
We are currently preparing the document for release to you and expect to be able to provide it to
you by Friday 12 November 2021.
In making our decision we have carefully considered whether there are any public interest factors
that may favour release of the information we propose to withhold. However, we have ultimately
formed the view that there are no public interest considerations that outweigh the need to
withhold the information.
You have the right to seek an investigation and review by the Ombudsman of this decision.
