Thank you for your Official Information Act (Act) request received by the Department of Internal 
Affairs (Department) on 27 September 2021. 
You requested – 
•  as at the date of reply, the department is working on Citizenship by Grant applications 
that were received in what date range? 
In response to your request, I can advise that the oldest unassigned paper application was 
received on 4 November 2020. The oldest unassigned online application was received on 21 
December 2020. 
I note that you have asked for the information to be as at the date of reply, however, because of 
our internal sign out processes we are not able to provide you the data from this date. The 
above information was captured on 19 October 2021, as this date gave us enough time to 
retrieve the data requested, and to provide you with the most up to date information. 
As this information may be of interest to other members of the public, the Department has 
decided to proactively release a copy of this response on the DIA website. Al  requestor data, 
including your name and contact details, will be removed prior to release. The released
