Thank you for your email of 5 September 2021 requesting information relating to Global 
Warming Potentials (GWP) for Methane accounting. Your request has been considered 
under the Official Information Act 1982 (OIA). 
 
You requested the following:  
- 
“Any emails or communications you have had with Beef & Lamb New Zealand, 
DairyNZ and Federated Farmers regarding the use of GWP* for Methane accounting.” 
 
Between 1 January 2018 and the date of your request, I received one email on 5 May 2021 
regarding the Red Meat Report Issue No.2 from Beef & Lamb New Zealand and the Meat 
Industry Association. Please find this attached as Appendix One.
