QLDC has decided to grant your request for information in part.  The information requested is provided 
below. 
 
To address your information request, we asked our Planning & Development team to supply all the 
information relating to this matter. They have sourced 32 email chains, out of these, we have removed 
two duplicate emails and this has left us with 30 emails.  We have made some minor redactions in 28 
emails to protect the privacy of the residents and have  provided our rationale for this later in this 
response.

Personal information  
 
We  have  withheld  the  names  and  email  addresses  of  the  residents  who  have  email  us  with  their 
feedback  and  suggestions,  under  section 7(2)(a) of  the  Local  Government  Official  Information  and 
Meeting Act 1987 (LGOIMA). Section 7(2)(a) of the LGOIMA provides that there is a good reason for 
withholding  official  information  when  the  withholding  of  information  is  necessary  to  protect  the 
privacy of natural persons. In this case, we considered the names and contact details of the residents 
of Roys Bay to be personal information.
