Dear Tim
Local Government Official Information and Meetings Act 1987 (LGOIMA):
Request for Information
I refer to your email of 27 August 2021 requesting any records of reports or discussions
within the last 5 years on public transport vehicle ownership for services for which the
Canterbury Regional Council is responsible. In particular, you are interested in records
that look at options whether public transport vehicles are to be owned by Environment
Canterbury or by the operators of public transport services. Your request has been
referred to me to reply.
Please find the information
attached as requested.
Please note that the figures contained in the table of the email from Sarah Taylor to
Stewart Gibbon dated 4 June 2019 are “made-up” figures only, as mentioned in the
email itself.
Some information has been withheld in order to maintain legal privilege under section
7(g), and confidentiality under section 7(c), of the LGOIMA. Public interest in releasing
the information does not outweigh the need to withhold the information in the
circumstances.
You wil be aware that if you are not satisfied with this response, you are able to refer
this matter to the Of ice of the Ombudsman under s27(3) of the LGOIMA.
Please be advised that we now put LGOIMA responses that are in the public interest
onto our website. No personal details of the requester are given, but we do summarise
the essence of the request alongside the response.
Should you require any further information or clarification, please do not hesitate to
contact Lil ian Sewell in the first instance
(lil [email address] or 033677340).
Yours sincerely,
Katherine Harbrow
