Response to your request for official information
Thank you for your request under the Of icial Information Act 1982 (the Act) on 27 August 2021
for information relating to COVID-19 cases.
The Ministry of Health (the Ministry) has interpreted your questions to be about all cases since
the beginning of lockdown of 18 August 2021 to 27 August 2021, the date of your request. Please
find a response to each part of your request below.
“a) the number of hospitalizations of Covid-19 Positive cases since the beginning of the
current lockdown (August 2021)”
Twenty-eight (28) people have been hospitalised with COVID-19.
“b) the number of i) deaths”
No deaths have occurred from people who were hospitalised due to COVID-19.
“i ) recoveries from these hospitalizations”
After being hospitalised due to COVID-19, one person has recovered and was discharged from
hospital.
“c) the number of positive PCR tests from vaccinated people (either 1 or 2 doses) since the
beginning of the current lockdown.”
A total of 117 confirmed cases had at least one or more dose of the vaccine.
