[FYI request #16493 email]

Dear Paul
I am writing in response to the email you submitted on 25 August 2021. Your request has
been considered pursuant to the Official Information Act 1982 (the Act). Specifically, you
requested:
“We request documentation and operational guidelines provided to front line officers related
to enforcement of wearing Face Coverings/Masks at Essential services under Covid
Lockdown.”

I have provided  the following guide for  you:  Face Covering Guidelines -  AL4 Exempt
Businesses or Services - 24 August 2021. This guidance has been provided for frontline
staff interacting with businesses in relation to the face covering requirements.

I trust that you are satisfied with my response to your request. If not, you have the right
under section 28(3) of the Act to ask the Ombudsman to seek an investigation and review
of my decision.

Yours sincerely,

Superintendent Barry Taylor
