Thank you for your request under the Official Information Act 1982 (the Act) to the Ministry of
Health (the Ministry) on 24 October 2021 for information relating to the COVID-19 Resurgence

Supporting Pacific Health COVID-19 Resurgence Plan
The Ministry’s Supporting Pacific Health COVID-19 Resurgence Plan is currently under active
consideration and as such is withheld in full under section 9(2)(f)(iv) of the Act, to maintain the
constitutional conventions for the time being which protects the confidentiality of advice
tendered by Ministry officials. I have considered the countervailing public interest in release in
making this decision and consider that it does not outweigh the need to withhold at this time.
These three Case Investigation and Contact Tracing SOPs identified on p.27 of the
Manatû Hauora COVID-19 Resurgence Plan:
1) NITC National Contact Tracing National Operating Framework
2) Rapid Case Investigation Protocol
3) Case Investigation Protocol”

requested. Please find listed and attached in Appendix 1 copies of the quality framework used
for case investigation (Document One), case investigation checklist (Document Two),
