Thank you for your email of 7 July 2021 requesting under the Official Information Act 1982 
(the Act):  
“…an update on [the Ministerial Ethnic Communities Advisory Group] given the 
ministry for ethnic communities has been established. Are there any further 
discussion or timeline been established since my last years request? Also, if there 
are progress, can you please provide me with timeline on when they going to call 
for public nominations?” 
Although the Office of Ethnic Communities informal y sought nominations from relevant 
government agencies for membership to a Ministerial Ethnic Communities Advisory Group in 
late 2019, the proposed Group was not formally established. Your request is therefore 
declined under section 18(e) of the Act, as the information does not exist. 
You have the right, under section 28(1)(a) of the Act, to seek an investigation and review of 
this response by the Office of the Ombudsman. You can do so by contacting the Office of the
