Brendon Rosie
Brendon stems from Hornby, Christchurch and owns a company called Rosiez Collision Repairs. The
company is a full panel beating and spray-painting business which started in 2007 with one branch
and a team of five. Since then it has grown to comprise a team of 35 employees across 3 branches in
Christchurch; Sydenham, Sockburn and Rolleston.
He attended Hornby High School and achieved a “School Certificate”. From school, he was initially
unsure of what he wanted to do in life but he sought the opportunity to gain work experience in the
car industry and showed recognisable interest and promise. His learning and development
contributing to him gaining an apprenticeship and completing his trade.
On the sporting front, his game is Rugby League. After immersing himself in driving his business he
stopped playing high level sport but still manages to play socially. He has given back to the game
and devoted his own time and effort in coaching young people across the age range. Highlights have
included coaching the Southern Zone U17s who attended the annual National tournament in
Rotorua, and more recently the U20s South Island team which competed in the inaugural National
competition. He is most passionate about young people achieving their potential.
