YOUR OFFICIAL INFORMATION ACT (1982) REQUEST HBDHB REF: OIA2021066
I refer to your Official Information Act request dated 1 June 2021, redirected by the Ministry of Health,
where you requested information from Hawke’s Bay District Health Board (HBDHB). Your questions and
HBDHB’s response is provided below:
1. The number of patients affected (who could not be transferred, were taken to other
airports, or transfer was delayed) & assessment of any harm caused to them
2. Any assessment of the financial cost to aeromedical services caused by Wellington Airport
runway closures
In response to your questions above, Hawke’s Bay DHB does not hold specific data on the number of
patients affected by the closure of Wellington Airport’s runway in its database. Additionally, the DHB does
not hold any assessment of financial costs related to the closures. Therefore your information request is
declined under section 18 (e) of the Official Information Act relating to information not held.
