Please note, the PUBL203 and PUBL209 Introduction to Public Economics courses are
co-taught and moderated as a whole which may induce greater variation in the grades
achieved.
4. I would also like you to include the pre-adjusted (pre-scaled) grades
for the above questions as well. I.e. the pre-scaled median and average
grades for each course, and each year of the course. If this data does
not exist, please disregard this question.
Pre scaled grades are calculated based on the marks achieved through coursework and/or
examinations prior to the final confirmation of a grade. Courses may differ in the way
they assess students work and may utilise scaling of individual assessment items and/or
scaling of final grades. The following figures are calculated based on final figures achieved
prior to any final scaling.
Please note, as the pre-scaled average letter grades are calculated from the students final
scores, they may not fall directly within the range of one specific letter grade. Therefore,
the average letter grade may be given as a range.
