following information regarding the Chief Executive position at Universities New Zealand: 
 
1)  Was the [Chief Executive] job publicly advertised (or was it supplied to an 
individual by invitation)?  If it was publicly advertised, where was it publicly 
advertised? 
 
2)  What is the job description associated with the role?  The job description 
provided to applicants and if there have been substantive changes to that one 
such that the present job description is substantively different. 
 
3)  What is the pay associated with the position?  I am interested to know the starting 
salary of the present occupant of that role and how much is associated with the 
role now, in 2021. 
 
Your request has been considered under the Official Information Act 1982 (the Act). 
 
We  have  made  enquiries  with  the  relevant  Business  Units  and  have  determined  that  the 
information you have requested is more closely connected with the functions of Universities 
New  Zealand.  I  have  therefore  transferred  your  request  to  Universities  New  Zealand  in 
accordance with section 14 of the Act. 
 
You may expect a response from Universities New Zealand directly concerning your request.
