Thank you for your follow-up request dated 19 April 2021 to Kāinga Ora – Homes and 
Communities for the following information under the Official Information Act 1982 (the Act): 
 
As initially requested please also provide how many houses are planned for 
completion by month going forward. 
 
I have consulted with the relevant team in Kāinga Ora who advise me that we cannot provide 
a monthly breakdown for the delivery of all homes in the Roskill Development, contracts to 
build these homes, in neighbourhoods aside from Ōwairaka and Roskill South, have yet to 
be finalised. 
 
I am therefore refusing your request under section 18(g)(i) of the Act as, ‘…the information 
requested is not held by the department or Minister of the Crown or organisation…’ 
 
As mentioned my previous response dated 19 April 2021, the Roskill Development 
comprises of over a dozen neighbourhoods delivering approximately 11,000 new state, 
market and affordable homes over the next 15 to 20 years.  
 
These neighbourhoods are at different stages of planning and delivery, which is why in my 
previous response you were only provided with information about the two neighbourhoods 
(Ōwairaka and Roskill South) that have been contracted and are underway. 
 
Kāinga Ora will continue to keep local residents and other interested parties updated via the 
Roskill Development website at https://roskilldevelopment.co.nz/.
