Thank you for your request made under the Local Government Official Information and Meetings 
Act 1987 (the Act), received on 9 March 2021. You requested the fol owing information: 
•  Reports or assessments on the financial implications of this loan, including the return on 
investment and the impact on the rates. 
•  Reports or assessments on how the sea wal  project would benefit WCC's assets including 
transport and three waters infrastructure. 
•  Reports or assessments on how the sea wall project aligns with WCC's commitments under 
Te Atakura - First to Zero. 
 
Wel ington City Council has refused your request. The information you have requested has been 
refused under section 17(e) of the Act as the information requested does not exist. 
 
At the Annual Plan/Long-Term Plan Committee on 4 March 2021, Councillors voted to remove the 
$75m loan to Wellington Airport.  The Council is currently seeking feedback on the Long-Term Plan 
until this has been approved the Council will not be taking any further action on the seawall. The 
Council has not undertaken any reports of assessment regarding the proposed seawall loan. 
 
Any questions related to the airport can be referred to the Wellington International Airport Limited. 
 
Right of review 
If you are not satisfied with the Council’s response, you may request the Office of the Ombudsman
