Thank you for your request under the Official Information Act 1982 (the Act) on 4 March 2021 
for: 
 
“Al  information pertaining to the handling and development and utilising of the Vulnerable 
Persons Register.  
I wil  be asking for personal information on that of my family but that has already been 
done privately. 
Who is responsible for actioning the necessary services re the Register and who holds 
these details.” 
 
The Vulnerable Persons Register is not held or managed by the Ministry of Health (the Ministry). 
You may be interested to know however, that each district health board (DHB) holds a 
Vulnerable Persons Register for individuals within their region. You may wish to approach your 
local DHB for further details. 
 
Under section 28(3) of the Act you have the right to ask the Ombudsman to review my decision 
to refuse your request. The Ombudsman may be contacted by email at:
