I refer to your official information request received 28 January 2021 described as fol ows:
Your request:
Dear Waikato Regional Council, I wish to explore the use of herbicide by the Regional Council. The main
types used are Associate : Conquest / Tordon : Garlon Glyphosate : Grazon : Haloxyfop : Unimaz :Vigilant
: Xtree ; Reglone : There may be more herbicides not listed above. I wish to find out what quantity of these
and other products are used on an annual basis. The quantity asked for are the raw product before dilution
with for eg water. The quantities can be given in litres or by weight Kgs
Council’s response:
The council maintains records of the herbicides it uses annual y. The quantities of herbicides used in the
2019 calendar year are provided in Table 1 below. The 2019 calendar year is a better representation of
what the Waikato Regional Council uses annual y due to the impact of the Covid-19 lockdown in 2020.
