Information Request – Radio Channels
I refer to your official information request dated 19 January 2021 asking for the following
information
:
“
Could you provide a list of radio channels you have for truck communications with fire
communications centres eg. Hamilton fire, Hawks bay fire etc and which channels are
linked together for what regions. No frequencies required.”
On 28 January 2021, you further clarified your request to:
“
Channel names are only required and which are linked together. No sensitive information
such as frequencies of radio channels or police shared channels are required. A list of fire
and emergency exclusive channels such as a channel plan would be acceptable.”
In accordance with the provisions of the Official Information Act 1982, below is the information
you requested.
For the
Northern Communications Centre our fire exclusive channels are:
• Fire Auck 1
• Fire Auck 3
• Fire Auck 4
• Fire Auck 10
• Fire Hamilton
• Fire BOP
• Fire Northland
For the
Central Communications Centre our fire exclusive channels are

For the
Southern Communications Centre our fire exclusive channels are:

In respect of your request regarding linked channels, it is not possible to provide such a list as they
can change at any time due to workload demand and which Communications Centres are
accessing the channels.
