Dear Jungdong Keun 
I refer to your email of 17 October 2020 in which you request the following under the 
Official Information Act 1982 (OIA): 
“Please kindly supply all information MFAT hold about dates, venues, participants, and 
briefing notes, reports etc of meetings between MFAT staffs and Korean Embassy 
staffs in Wellington.”  
On 23 October 2020, I wrote to you requesting confirmation of your eligibility to make a 
request under the OIA, but have received no response. Unfortunately we are unable to 
process your OIA request as you do not satisfy the eligibility criteria as per section 12(1) of 
New Zealand’s Official Information Act 1982.  If you can confirm eligibility at some point, we 
will treat that as a fresh OIA request. 
You have the right under section 28(3) of the OIA to seek a review of this response by the 
Ombudsman.
