and other entities from the Peoples Republic of China 
I refer to your requests for information under the Official Information Act 1982 (the 
Act) dated 2 October 2020 for: 
The number of enrolled undergraduate students (part-  and full-time) from  the 
Peoples Republic of China from 2010-2020 
The total fees paid by undergraduate students from the Peoples Republic of China 
from 2010-2020 
The number of enrolled postgraduate students (part-  and full-time) from the 
Peoples Republic of China from 2010-2020 
The total fees paid by postgraduate students from the Peoples Republic of China 
from 2010-2020 
The total amount of research funding received from institutions/entities who are 
headquartered or based in the Peoples Republic of China 
 
Numbers of students enrolled and fees paid 
Please see the table below which shows the numbers of enrolled undergraduate and 
postgraduate students from the People’s Republic of China and the total fees paid by 
those students (excluding GST), from 2010–2020.  Please note that this data is current 
as of 29 October 2020. 
Students are counted multiple times when the data is broken down by years and 
qualification levels, so the Grand Total of the ‘Headcount’ columns is higher than the 
number of distinct students. The number of distinct students enrolled across all these 
years and qualification levels is 3554.
