Thank you for your request under the Official Information Act 1982 (the Act) to the Ministry of 
Health (the Ministry) on 10 August 2020 for: 
 
“Please provide copies of all advice and memoranda (in whatever form) dealing with 
policy arguments for and against (a) the use of "managed isolation" and (b) charging 
users for their stay in "managed isolation".” 
 
In accordance with section 18B of the Act, you were consulted on 3 September 2020 to clarify 
your request. As a response has not been received to date, your request for this information is 
refused under section 18(f) of the Act, as your request is currently worded for a very large 
volume of information.
