Thank you for your request under the Official Information Act 1982 (the Act), transferred from
the office of Hon Dr Megan Woods on 31 July 2020, for:
“Advice sent to your office on how the border can be managed until such a point that
there is a vaccine or effective treatment for COVID-19.”
I can confirm that this office has not received any advice within the scope of your request. As
such, I am refusing your request under section 18(e) of the Act.
Border management is an active area that is of high interest to the public. I expect you wil
receive information about managed isolation and quarantine from the Office of Hon Dr Megan
Woods response to the remainder of your request, and I am advised the Ministry of Health
has contributed to those papers. You can also find information on the Ministry's website that
may be of interest, about the overall strategy, border controls, and the Ministry's Surveil ance
plan.
