Mr Shane Gibson
[FYI request #13282 email]
Dear Mr Gibson
Thank you for your request made under the Official information Act 1982 (OIA), received
on 11 July 2020. You requested:
Please provide an extract of data from the system you currently use to track information
requests submitted under the Official Information Act 1982. The extract should be in a
machine readable form. This means either via a publicly accessible API or file in csv or JSON
format. The extract should have the following details:
•
The title of the request.
•
The date your organisation received the request.
•
The date of the final response from your organisation to that request, or the date
you closed the request.
To reduce the effort required by your organisation I am requesting records for the date range
that the data is available in your OIA tracking system. For example if your OIA tracking
system only holds two years of records then I am requesting data for those two years.
The information is provided to you in the attached csv spreadsheet, as requested. The
spreadsheet shows the requests made under the OIA that Inland Revenue received from
18 March 2019, the date we began using our current OIA system, until 29 July 2020.
The data shows the reference number of the request, the title of the request (“subject”),
the date we received the request, the original statutory deadline (“original due date”),
the final statutory deadline (“due date”), and the date we sent the response.
The reference numbers of the requests are assigned by our OIA system. On occasion, we
receive correspondence and queries that are not OIA requests. These have been excluded
as they are out of the scope of your request. As a result of this, the reference numbers in
the attached spreadsheet do not always fol ow.
Where the timeframe to respond to a request has been extended under section 15A of
the OIA, the data shows the original statutory deadline (20 working days after the receipt
of the request) and the final statutory deadline (including the additional working days
determined by the extension).
Please note that some of the requests are entered directly into the system from an online
form on our external website. The titles of these requests are chosen by requestors, and
some titles may not give much information. We are unable to change the subject headings
of these requests in our OIA system.
Personal details have been redacted from the spreadsheet under section 9(2)(a) of the
OIA, to protect the privacy of natural persons.
