OFFICIAL INFORMATION ACT 20-35 
I refer to your Official Information Act (the Act) request dated 9 July 2020 for information relating to the 
Master of Audiology programme at the University of Canterbury.  You have requested the fol owing: 
(1) Number of General seats available each year, 
(2) Number of General seats filled each year, 
(3) Number of General applicants, 
(4) Lowest GPA for successful General applicants, 
(5) Lower Quartile GPA for successful General applicants, 
(6) Median GPA for successful General applicants, 
(7) Upper Quartile GPA for successful General applicants, 
(8) Highest GPA for unsuccessful General applicants, 
(9) Lowest successful first round offer GPA (under the general category only), 
(10) Lowest successful waitlist GPA (under the general category only) 
 
Please see attached a table attached with the data as per your request. Please note that the Grade Point 
Average (GPA) is defined in the Regulations in the University of Canterbury 2020 Calendar (Maramataka). The 
GPA in this context a student’s undergraduate GPA.  
Please note that some information has been withheld or redacted. This includes: 
•  Data relating to questions 4, 8, 9 and 10, as they relate to an individual. This is to protect the 
individuals privacy under s 9(2)(a) of the Act.
