Regarding your OIA request asking: 
 
What is the hourly rate being paid to Kate Davenport QC who is leading the review of policies 
relating to sexual harassment and other harassment at AUT? 
 
This information has been withheld under section 29(1)(b) and 29(3) of the Privacy Act 1993 on the 
grounds that the discussions contain material subject to a promise of confidentiality and under the 
Official Information Act 1982 section 9(2)(a) to protect the privacy of natural persons, and section 
9(2)(b)2 to protect information that would likely prejudice the commercial position of a third party; 
and section 9(2)(i)3 to protect information where it is necessary to enable AUT to carry out 
commercial activities without prejudice or disadvantage and 9(2)(ba) to protect commercially 
sensitive information. 
 
Having considered the public interest in the information being released, we have concluded that the 
public interest does not outweigh the need to withhold the information.  
 
Under section 28(1)(a) of the Official Information Act 1982, you may ask the Ombudsmen to 
investigate and review our decision to decline to provide some of the official information to you.
