Thank  you  for  your  email  of  15  June  2020  to  Oranga  Tamariki—Ministry  for  Children 
(Oranga  Tamariki),  requesting  the  following  information  under  the  Official  Information 
Act 1982 (the Act): 
•  Please  provide  reports  detailing  the  amounts,  types,  names,  and  versions  of 
Operating  Systems  currently  in  use  within  your  ICT  server  and  desktop 
environments. 
Our standard laptops use the Windows 10 operating system. There are a limited number 
of PCs and laptops that are on the MacOS operating system; however, these are used for 
specialised  work  such  as  creating  training  material.  Our  backend  servers  are  either 
Microsoft based or Unix based technologies. We cannot provide you with version details 
as this could impact the security of our systems.
