I refer to your Official Information Act 1982 request received on 29th April 2020 
regarding  meetings and/ or calls between  Deputy Commissioner Wal ace 
Haumaha and group of community and gang leaders. 
Specifically you requested: 
  1.  The dates on which any meetings (in person, or via telephone) occurred 
between staff at Police National HQ and gang leaders for the period 1 
February 2020 to 05 May 2020. 
 
2.  Which gangs, organisations and government agencies took part in each 
call or meeting? 
 
3.  The roles held (but not the names) of the individuals representing each 
gang, organisation or agency that took part in each call or meeting. 
 
4.  The agenda for each call or meeting. 
 
5.  Any minutes or notes of the discussion for each call or meeting. 
 
I have considered your request under the Official Information act 1982 and provide 
the response below: 
  1.  Between 1 February 2020 and 05 May 2020, six hui were conducted via 
phone or video conferencing on the following dates; 30 March, 3 April, 7 
April, 17 April, 24 April, and 1 May.  
 
2.  These meetings were attended by representatives from Black Power, 
Mongrel Mob, Ministry of Social Development, Ministry of Health, Ministry 
of Education, Ministry of Business, Innovation, and Employment, the Māori 
Women’s Welfare League, and staff members of New Zealand Police.   
  3.  We are not able to provide you with the roles held of the individuals 
representing each gang, as that information was not provided or noted in 
Police National Headquarters

information doesn’t exist.  The roles held by individuals representing
