22 April 2020 Our Reference: IR-01-20-7327 Thomas Holmes fyi-req uest-1 2401-3ea9ff36@req u ests .fyi. org. nz Dear Mr Holmes I am writing to you in response to your email sent to New Zealand Police on 7 March 2020, which was made pursuant to the Official Information Act 1982 and specifically requested: A copy of all manuals, SOPs, policies, etc relating to how Police access and use the Auror platform for retail crime reporting. My response to your request is as below: I have attached a copy of the Contract for Services and the Auror NZ Police Guidelines. However, sections of both documents have been redacted in accordance with section 9(2)(b )(ii) of the Official Information Act 1982 in that the making available of this information would be likely unreasonably to prejudice the commercial position of the person who supplied or who is the subject of the information, and section 6(c) of the Official Information Act 1982 in that the making available of this information would be likely to prejudice the maintenance of the law, including the prevention, investigation, and detection of offences, and the right to a fair trial. You have the right, under section 28 (3) of the Official Information Act 1982 to ask the Ombudsman to review my decision if you are not satisfied with the way I have responded to your request.
