Reporter Comments
Bonfire in Residential area, Sixe approximately 2.5m2 x 2.5m2. Bonfire was 
extinguished due to it being 2m away from a wooden fence and 3m away from a 
hedge running down the boundary of the section. I was questioned on the status of 
what fire season it was and advised them whether it was open or restricted fire 
season, under Fire and Emergency NZ rules and guidelines a fire this size has to 
be 10m away from property and vegetation. I have attached a photo of the fire and
