Thank you for your request for information dated 5 February 2020 for Whenuakite 1080 poisoning 
operation Nov 2019 - report by Public Health Officer. 
 
I enclose all the information which is covered by your request.  
 
1.  Please provide a copy of the report by the HSNO Enforcement Officer who observed the 
operation.  
 
2.  Please state what office the HSNO Enforcement Officer holds within the WDHB.  
 
3.  Is this officer the Public Health Officer?

The HSNO Enforcement Officer is part of the Health Protection team within the Waikato 
Public Health Unit. 
 
3.  Is this the Public Health Officer?  
 
The HSNO Enforcement Officer is a Health Protection Officer designated under the 
Health Act 1956. They are considered a Public Health Officer. But they are not the only 
type of Public Health Officer, for example:  other Public Health Officers include the 
Medical Officer of Health.
