Hi Chris
Thanks for your quick response to this and I would be very keen to work with you to get the
wording right.
Unfortunately I will be based in Nelson Thursday and Friday, but I am available for a conference
call tomorrow. Would that be a possibility for you?
Thanks, Susan

Subject: Key Data for Resilience & Climate Change - Suburbs Data Improvement Plan
Hi Matt
INFORMATION
Further to the lead agency hui last week, to discuss the data improvement plan for resilience and
climate change, please find attached the slides from the key datasets presentation.
RELEASED
We are looking to get sign off from FENZ to publish the initial report (pages 1 - 14) by
Friday 14th June.
OFFICIAL
The additional survey responses (pages 15 - 79) will only be shared with the lead agencies and
THE
those who provided a survey response.
I understand that you are now away for three weeks, and I’m sorry we were not able to catch up
last week.
3
Given the project timeframes, I’ve cced Craig MacAlpine to see if he can help confirm FENZ sign
off to publish the report by the end of this week.
The priority improvement for suburbs is:
FENZ to publish Suburbs as webservice with a Creative Commons license by June 2020.
We really appreciate your ongoing support with this project, and are keen to discuss what needs
to happen to ensure we can confirm FENZ sign off of the data improvement plan this week.
For example, one option could be that we start a conversation between FENZ and LINZ around
ACT
publishing the suburbs data on the LINZ Data Service if this made the improvement easier to
achieve.
If that were of interest we could change the priority improvement wording to
UNDER
FENZ and LINZ to collaborate on publishing Suburbs as webservice with a Creative Commons
license by June 2020.
INFORMATION
If we are not able to sign off either of these options, I’m happy for you to suggest alternative
wording, however, if we get to end of Friday and do not have agreed wording, I will need to update
the improvement to something like
RELEASED
FENZ are unable to commit to the priority improvement to publish Suburbs as webservice with a
Creative Commons license at this time.
