Request made under the Official Information Act 1982 
 
Thank you for your email of 2 December 2019 requesting the following information under the Official 
Information Act 1982 (the Act): 
 
“I would like a copy of the business case made by the previous National government and 
any funding put aside for the Tauranga to Kati Kati 4 lane highway.” 
 
I am refusing your request under section 18(e) of the Act as the business case for Tauranga to Katikati 
four lane highway does not exist. As such, there is no funding allocated for the mentioned project. 
 
Under section 28 of the Act, you have the right to ask the Ombudsman to review my decision to refuse
