My principal place of residence is in the Eastern-
Dome Constituency area.
I wish to stand in the Environment Southland
elections.  
I farm at Balfour with Lynley running a Deer
Stud/Arable farm, with dairy grazing in past
years.
Community Involvement: Balfour Primary BOT, 10 yrs; Southland
Girls High BOT, 9 yrs; Southland Deer Farmers Executive,
President 3 yrs; NZ Deer Farmers Assn President 2 yrs, Council 4
yrs; NSVS Incorporated Chairman; Southland Rural Support Trust
Trustee; Balfour Groundwater Group since 2007.
The implementation of the Water and Land Plan is the biggest
challenge undertaken by Environment Southland with
environmental, economic and social consequences impacting on
rural and urban communities for generations.  Issues must be
identified with good science and carefully managed with
sensible solutions.  Having attended ES Farmer Steering Group
meetings, I understand the serious impact on farming.  
If elected I intend to represent all sectors to the best of my
ability, be approachable and open to discussion at any time.
