about DOC’s Island Eradication Advisory Group (IEAG).
Establishment of the IEAG
You asked:
Any alternative names the IEAG (Island Eradication Advisory Group) has
been known as or or is now known by - that is any organisation, group,
company or entity acting as IEAG or on their behalf?
What date the IEAG or any associated organisations / groups / companies
/ entities as listed above became an entity of DOC? (Please detail them
separately if there are more than one)
The IEAG is an internal advisory group made up of DOC staff. It has not been
known by any other names. The IEAG was set up in 1997 to capture existing
knowledge and expertise and provide technical advice to up and coming DOC
projects.
IEAG overseas projects
You requested:
The total number and names of overseas projects any of the above (i.e. the
IEAG and other named entities) have completed? Please list dates, project
names, country/ies and entity name (as above) as appropriate.
The IEAG provides advice on overseas projects being carried out by other
organisations; it does not complete the projects itself. We are therefore refusing
your request under section 18(e) of the OIA, as the information does not exist.
In order to be helpful, we are providing you with a list of the overseas projects the
Department has provided advice on in the last five years.
You have the right to seek an investigation and review by the Ombudsman of this
