We refer to your requests for official information dated 8 October 2019 regarding statistics for the 
Pakuranga Road T2 Lane.  
 
We have provided dashboard data collected by AT to monitor traffic across the network surrounding 
the Eastern Busway Stage 1 (EB1) construction site, including the T2/bus lane on Pakuranga Road.  
Below are some comments relating to our observations of this data: 
−  The dashboards demonstrate that journey times for general traffic have been consistent 
month-by-month since construction began.  
The changes to journey times for general traffic have been minimal. 
−  Data analysing the T2/bus lane on Pakuranga Road show that journey times have been 
consistent month-by-month since the lane was introduced.  
The changes to journey times for general traffic have been minimal. 
−  The data has not been broken down into 30-minute slots between 6am – 10am as per your 
request. We are unable to provide this information in the format you have requested. 
−  The data displaying results from license plate recognition software does have some outliers 
(i.e. extremely long journeys).  
These outliers are caused in situations where vehicles may have stopped for petrol, detoured 
along a side road etc 
−  We do not have data on wait times for traffic attempting to join Pakuranga Road from the side 
streets you mentioned.  
However, ATOC monitor these areas and advise us if they experience any delays or traffic 
queues that are beyond the norm and signalling is adjusted accordingly.  
−  Bus patronage and the use of the Lloyd Elsmore Park and Ride has been increasing since it 
was launched.
