Thank you for your email dated 12 September 2019 requesting information regarding radio 
communication frequencies. 
Information on updated radio communication frequencies for the following transport 
company's. 
GoBus 
NZBus 
Ritchies Transport 
Birkenhead Transport 
Pavlovich Transport 
AT Passenger Rail 
 
Auckland Transport (AT) does not hold details of the radio frequencies used by the various 
contracting bus companies. Your request is therefore refused under section 17(g) of the LGOIMA 
because the information is not held. The radio frequency used for AT train staff is withheld under 
section 6(a) as making this information available is likely to prejudice the maintenance of the law, 
including the prevention, investigation, and detection of offences, and the right to a fair trial. 
 
Radio frequencies used for train operations is believed to be more closely connected with the 
functions of KiwiRail. We have therefore transferred this aspect of your request to KiwiRail under 
section 12 of the LGOIMA.  
 
Should you believe that we have not dealt with your request appropriately, you are able to make a 
complaint to the Office of the Ombudsman and seek an investigation and review in regard to this 
matter.
