Thank you for your email dated 26 August 2019, requesting information about towing data for Tamaki 
Makaurau districts.  
I’d like to request towing data for the three Tamaki Makaurau police districts i.e. Waitemata, 
Auckland City and Counties-Manukau. 
I attach a spreadsheet (separated by month) which outlines all tows carried out between August 
2016 and July 2019.The spreadsheet provides the following information: 
•  date and time of each tow 
•  type of vehicle  
•  location vehicle was towed from  
•  location vehicle was relocated to  
To assist you when looking at the spreadsheet  
•  55 means Central Suburbs  
•  66 means Northern Suburbs  
•  77 means Western Suburbs 
•  88 means Southern Suburbs  
•  99 means CBD area 
•  Romeo means rural areas outside of Auckland  
Al  towing undertaken for Auckland Transport is carried out by Supercity Towing Limited. 
Your request for registration numbers for each car towed is refused under section 7(2)(a) of the 
Local Government Official Information and Meetings Act 1987 to protect the privacy of natural 
persons.
